![]() It?s most commonly used by those who want to work with someone they must get to know prior to hiring. This information is public, but it?s not something you should use lightly. Divorce records contain the same information, and custody records allow anyone to see where your children live and why. A marriage license, for example, features your date of birth, your birthplace, your full name including any maiden name, and other personal information about you and your spouse. This information is broad and general, but it?s very detailed when you get into it. This is just a small sample of the information available in Oregon court records. They need only the name of the person they want to check on, and they need to know which county they might have court records in. These are public records, which means they are available to anyone who wants to look them up. If you want to view the Oregon court records, you can do that no matter who you are. The immediate family members of that person can access it, and anyone legally representing the person on the record can have those copies. The person listed on the record can obtain a certified copy. Certified copies are also available to those who want them, but only if they fall into a very specific category. The Marion County Sheriff's Office is responsible for court security, prisoner transport and service of warrants and other court papers.State court records in Oregon are available to the general public to view. Marion County provides space for offices, jury assembly, and courtrooms. These courts are under the administrative authority of the State of Oregon which pays the salaries of the elected judges and their staff. State judges also conduct hearings at the Marion County Correctional Facility and at the Marion County Juvenile Department. Most misdemeanors, all felonies, and civil cases are heard in state courts which are located in the Marion County Courthouse. ![]() Marion Justice Court is located in Salem. These courts are the county equivalent of the municipal courts which exist in larger cities such as Salem. ![]() In addition, the justice courts hear cases relating to violations of county ordinances, such as charges of excessive noise or dogs running at large. Minor traffic offenses, some misdemeanors and small civil claims are heard in these courts. The Court accepts payments of cash, check, money order as well as VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER credit cards. There is a $10 monthly fee added to the payment agreement balance until the total is paid in full. If you are unable to pay your fine in full, you may set up a payment agreement. There is no extra cost for having a trial. If you are found guilty at trial, a fine will be imposed. If you plead not guilty, you will be rescheduled for a trial at a later date, usually one or two months after your arraignment. A no contest plea has a guilty finding and a fine will be imposed. At your first appearance (arraignment) you will enter a plea of not guilty or no contest. Municipal Court in Hubbard is typically held on the first Wednesday of the month. More court contact information may be on the back of your citation. The court name is located on the bottom of your citation, along with the appearance date and time. If you have received a traffic ticket and have questions, you will need to contact the court to which you were cited.
